# Acceleration Problem

Alright so i drive a 92 240sx with a ka in it and the other day i maxed out the car and ever since then it hasnt been running the same. When ever i accelerate or when im switching gear and then accelerating my rpms jump up to like 4000 rmp and it sounds like im in neutral and then goes down and catches and starts to accelerate. i still accelerate a little but when i hit the gas but it’s not the same as what it did before… anyone know what this is? gear box?

sounds like a slipping clutch.
pretty sure it isnt your gearbox.

ya but when im in gear and drive it still does it? would that still be the clutch?

That’s exactly what a slipping clutch is. Its when the clutch is engaged but slips against the flywheel, thus making feel like its in neutral. You best to baby that thing (no more hard pulls) till you have another clutch or engine (sr, I’m guessing) lined up.

ya im not gonna mess with putting another clutch in, im just gonna swap a sr in. i have no idea where to purchase it though?

sounds like a stock honda clutch 😃
autodream usually has SR full-swaps in stock.
