# Accident on Wash Ave Ext

Did anyone else hear about this?
Last night there was a fatal accident involving two kids in their 20’s. One driving a camaro and one driving a newer mustang gt. Not sure if any of this is true or not and wondering if anyone else heard the rumor. But apparently one was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, crashed into the sober one, and killed the sober one. I crossed over wash ave ext at 115am last night(this morning) and didnt see anything.

COLONIE – A 24-year-old Colonie man was charged with driving while ability impaired late Saturday following a two-vehicle crash in which a 23-year-old motorist was killed.
 The deceased driver, Bryan Cross of Jules Drive in Colonie, was cut from his 1992 Chevrolet sedan by firefighters and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he later died, police said. He suffered internal injuries.The driver of the second car, Russell Frost of Wendell Drive, was given an appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned in Colonie Town Court on Monday night. Police said they found probable cause to have Frost’s blood tested for drugs after the crash, and that he is charged with being under the influence of an unknown stimulant.
It’s unclear whether police determined what caused the two vehicles to collide just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Oak Street. The intersection is in a residential neighborhood east of Fuller Road and south of Central Avenue. Frost was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang.
Both vehicles came to rest in the yard of a house on Washington Avenue, and the Chevrolet struck the residence. The house was not seriously damaged.
The investigation is ongoing and police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Colonie police at 783-2744.

I passed the ext a couple times throughout the night (11:00~2:00am) and didn’t see any accidents. Sounds nutty though

Yeah this happened on my street. I wasnt home at the time and got a call from a friend of mine and drove over to check it out. Both cars didnt look good. My cousin who lives on my street also said he heard the crash n came running down thinking it was me. He said he thinks the kid in the cavalier ran the stop sign he wasnt sure though. I see way to many accidents at that intersection right there with people running the stop sign. That street sign that you can see in the pic is laying there on the ground bent into a U shape. If its still there when I wake up in the morning ill take a pic of it.
