Ya so my timing is shit, car idles like shit, and hesatates when you shut it off so i think my timing is out So all you sr20det pros tell me how i do this easily, THANKS!@32414 šŸ˜ƒ ---

So by idling like Shit does it idle rough, or low, or high? what do you mean by hesitate when you shut it off?? might not be your timing at all. does it hesitate when you hit the gas? does it hesitate when you cruise? will the car start just by turning the key? or do you have to pump the gas? we need to know more info!! not just ā€œruns like shitā€ cause that dont describe shit. ---

car runs and drives fine. idle is rough thats all, and when you turn the key off its like beeeeeerrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmm (normal rough idle) _key off_ brmbrmbrmā€“brmā€”brm timing was never set when it was put in. car dosnt hesitate at all and it runs perefectly fine, it ran 13.8 with 7.5 psi. ---

well if you really think its the timing , the best way to set your timing and the way iā€™ve done it was by turning the disrtibutor by hand! no timing light required, just addjust and take for a cruise! repeat till you feel the car runs great. ---

are you running an electric fan? by your description it sound like your engine doesnt stop right away after you turn the car off? i have a similar problem and was advised it was a minor wiring issue that wasnt a big deal. it only started after we put in an electric fan. i doubt it is your timing bro, if your timing was out you wouldnt be running like you are, and by that i mean good. ---

hate to jump in on someone elses post but i kinda have the same issueā€¦ BUT mine hessitates when u mash the gass and for some odd reason if u shut it off and try and re start the damn thing is 80% of the time fludded. and it sounds like it has an occasional mis. i just duno what to doā€¦ other than to take a freakin tire iron to the damn engine and see if that will fix my problemā€¦ ---

BING now that you mention it your right, this all started the stubmling when i turn the car off after was when i wired an electric fan to my main ignition power wire! what did your buddy say about it??? when i idle i have 11 vac and when the car revs above 1600 and hold it at an idle there it is at 21 vac. what does that mean ---

I have the same thing when I shut down. Cars takes an extra second or two to shut off when I have removed the key. I have an electric fan too but had it since the beginning so couldnā€™t compare it to anything. Its not really an issue for me but interested if it can be resolved!
