Nice to be a licensing specialist 😃
Academic versions will be going up in price. Currently CS2.3 is $209. I’m guessing mid May and they will be around $250 to $300. But just a guess. Also depends on which version they offer since they are offering 7 strains I believe of CS3

i just got cs2 with a student discount, can i upgrade to cs3 without paying a fortune?

you could just pirate it…
and its highly doubtful you can upgrade for cheap, I’d wait until your school comes up with a license agreement to make it a little bit cheaper for you. If your school does infact do this.
Personally, I’d pirate it and call it a day

The ones we sell at UBMicro, we don’t know about their Technology Guarantee yet. They will specify dates and terms soon. It takes a bit after they announce a product for them to determine that.
