# advice please legally what can i do.....

recently a “friend” of mine was looking to buy a motorcycle. he went to gatto cycles and looked at what they had to offer. after finding himself a nice 2005 zx6r he relised he cant get it because he had no license to show gatto. he called me up and ask for a big favor. he wanted me to put his bike insurance and pretty much everything in my name so that the bike is techniquly legally mine but stays at his house being htat he is the one who paid for it. well recently i called the insurance company to see if he has been making payments on the insurance which he has not been doing. so… now when i try to call this so called “friend” he doesnt answer the phone. i have the title the owners card and you know everything legit in my name. should a be a jack ass and report it stolen and tell the cops where to find it and keep the bike in my house till he pays the insurance in full or just keep trying to call him and recieve nothing in return.
keep in mind this is not a question of the person having money its a question as to them being a jack ass to me and me wondering if i should be one back

First of all thats why you dont put high ticket items for other ppl in your name… but id be a dick to him if i were you…its messin up YOUR credit, not his…

how can the cops take it if everything it legally in my name except the warrenty information… and i as for this give or lend money thing well i didnt lend any money i lent my credit and insurance which is really going to screw me if i wait to long

tell you what ill sell you the bike for 3000 dollars ill sign the title over to you tell you where he lives and you can go get it yourself

They can hold it as evidence. My friend had a CD player stolen that I sold to her, and she couldn’t get it back from the police until after the hearing, even though she had proof that I sold it to her, with a legitimate receipt that I purchased it, and a signed letter from me stating that I sold it to her.
Anyways, definetly report it stolen, and cancel that insurance ASAP!

damnit im a criminal justice major i dont need all this trouble. lol his neighbor is a hampton township police officer. but i told some people that if more then 10 tell me to report it stolen on here that what ill be doing and it looks like 4 or 5 of you so far so 5 more and its being reproted tonite

If he’s not paying insurance then how do you know he’s paying on the loan? Or is it paid for in full? Call the cops and report it stolen. If he doesn’t want to return your calls after you put your credit on the line, f him.

the bike is totally paid off its the insurance hes fucking me on and yea hes not returning my calls. i would love to go get it myself and let him try to get it back however… like i said his neighbors a hampton township cop and if he saw me breaking into the persons garage id get even more screwed

Then tell that cop what’s up if he questions you, it’s HIS neighbor! Tell the cop that he took it from you , show the paperwork , and get the bike back!
