If you gonna compare the ZO6 (C5) to the elise, at least give a better example. Here are the results from this years nationals. Keep in mind the courses at national are VERY open so the “tight course” arguement doesn’t come into play. Just look at the very first class listed called “super stock”.

The C6 Z06 is actaully placed above all the stock classes and goes right into a modified classes. Truth is the C5 Z06 is still out there getting the job done and most people can afford those, so they the majority in most forms amature racing at this point.
As for the Elise you ran into Quik, probaly half of the people who buy those cars have no clue how to drive them anywhere near the limit. Like anything I said above, it still all comes down to the driver when your talking about cars like a elise, vette, porsche, etc.

true…i was comparing the new Z06 to the new Lotus. i left out the C5 Z06 and i shouldnt have because its STILL a very capable machine. It is also one of the better handling cars out there. i wanted to compare times between the two cars to really get some real life numbers but i just didnt put forth that effort lol
