'87 Jeep Wrangler, I assume sending unit in the tank, but I don’t know for sure. Aftermarket fuel gauge. When I fill the tank the gauge only reads 3/4 full. I also know I can drive it for quite a while after it hits empty.
I’m guessing its a mismatch between the SU and the gauge, but is there any way to fix it using my electronics skills, or do I need to somehow find a gauge made to match my sending unit? (I have no desire to drop the tank and change out the SU…)
