# air bag

ok guys i recently bought a s14 project car and it needs a steering wheel. will it still pass safety if i get a steering wheel with no air bag?

There is nothing about the vehicle needing a fuctioning airbag for a safety inspection, but still is a judgement call by the person signing the safety inspection.

dude i was told not to let a vehicle pass the safty inspection if the air bag light was on. let alone it being gone totaly, the vehicle has to pass by its factory standards. that just what i was told to do, so thats what i do

i just safetied a car and the air bag is not part of the safety so you do not need a working one. Whether it has to be there or not i do not know, but there is nothing stated in the safety checklist about the airbag.
