I see all this hype on OIL filter studies . How about air filters?
I have been seeing K & N’s are pretty much junk. So whats " the best "

i dont buy the k + n filters being junk.
i also dont buy them being much better than any other filter.
The fact that its washable is nice tho, buy it once, use it for ten years ect.

I know, But its all I’ve found so far besides I’ve used brand X for XXXX years and had no problems.

Your best bet for honest facts and opinions on air filters in a automotive environment, is [bobistheoilguy.com](http://bobistheoilguy.com)
Its a oil forum, but air filtration has a notable impact on the wear of a engine, and as a result, the oil analysis results.
They have a separate air filter section, generally what people say on there is based of real life wear numbers from running the air filter and reviewing the oil analysis.

LOL. I instantly thought of Hawk brake pads for some reason when I read this. 🙂
