# amd or intel

trying to get ideas on what to go with for a laptop. Stuck on the Intel core 2 duo or the AMD 64 X 2… i have no clue… Any help would be appreciated.

intel clearly has the performance edge right now. amd is cheaper but you get what you pay for.

I have an AMD and have no complaints yet. Only have had my laptop for 2 weeks though.

My laptop is an single Core AMD64 and it is still quick after over two years of hard usage. Just need to still upgrade to a huge Hard Drive…

benchmarks ftl… you can cache anything and make it look faster than what it is.
I’m more of an amd kinda of guy. It’s basically potato potAHto. You can’t go wrong w/ either… just don’t get a celeron or anything.
AMD’s have always been great bang for you buck cpu’s and they have been going back and forth w/ intel on who has the fastest for quite some time. But AMD has always had the edge on intel in one department, and that’s price
