The track VIR comes to mind but I’ll have to verify it with him tomarrow. How you coming for this season?

Tell him to check the rules - with a provisional (or maybe rookie, don’t remember), he can only run in the region that issued the license unless he’s made prior arrangements… That means he’d only be able to run the Mid Atlantic region races during his rookie period. I think you have to have 6 or so incident-free races to lose the rookie status (it’s been a few year since I read this stuff so it might be off). I am just pointing this out so that he doesn’t get blind-sided by this.
…also remind him that OH-IN has no races at BeaveRun this year. NASA NorthEast is hosting the only NASA races at BeaveRun this year. I’ll be there for that. I also strongly recommend that he have a lapping day prior to his license weekend. If the car breaks, you don’t get your license AND you lose your license fee. It took my dad A YEAR to get his license because the car and an off or two…
I haven’t had time to do much of anything to my car. I lowered it an inch and changed from zero offset wheels to +56mm offset wheels (thank you JJ’s Automative) to clear the fenders and that’s about it. This increased the front camber some more (I installed Delrin offset UCA bushings late last year). I am hoping for around -2.0 degrees. I need to get it on a rack. My list for the offseason includes:
1. Install my new seat (still seat-less)
2. Figure out an optimal size for spacers to push the wheels back out a little but still clear the fenders (need a track day for that).
3. Lose 100lbs if possible (removing all of the window hardware, unneeded wiring, removing more of the dash)
4. Need a new door bar (you’ll do that work) to adhere to the new rules
5. Need one of those goofy right-side nets (you’ll do the install) per the new rules
6. Need to do something more secure for the hood pins. I did a lousy job. (You’ll do that work)
7. Need dyno time to choose the right restrictor plate to match the weight reduction
8. I still need to find the $$$ to buy a HANS or the car gets parked in July - when you are supposed to have one.
Once I dial out more of the understeer and get more weight out, the car will be done. It’s already a no-excuses car for CMC. I guess the only excuse is the driver, but hey, I have the lap record at BeaveRun (approx. 6 seconds faster than when you rode with me a few years ago - think about how much faster 6 seconds is…) so I guess I’m improving. Overall, it will be nice to have a car that I only have to do maintenance on since it really will be fully setup for CMC.

Kurt did the roof, we both did the doors, I did the hand cuffs, and the interior, myself and a buddy of mine did the black. Its hard to see in the pictures but the black and the white both have alot of blue pearl in them.

Yeah there’s about 10hrs into the roof…there are a couple spots i’d like to have done better but it’s rough airbrushing at a 90 degree angle and jay wouldnt let me hang the mustang from the roof.
