# amyone know anything about gas water heaters?

My pilot light wont stay lit, it will fire up for a little bit and then shut off. Fuck.

Sounds like the thermocouple has shit the bed.

It would be a smal tub looking thing, that screws into the top of the gas valve, and the other end sits in the flame. It creats a small electrical charge from the heat, which in turn keeps the pilot valve open. No real way of testing, other than replacig, but if you remove it, you should be able to get one at lowes for $10-15.

well, yes. but b.v. is out of our first due.

my first thought was of kolar getting pissed to hell and back at the hot water tank.  
looks. inspects. busts knuckles open while trying to fix.  
yells “this thing can go fuck itself”  
donkey kicks hot water tank  
lights smoke.
