# Another Hep-A Scare v.bartender

Wrong.

You don’t treat Hep A. You rest, get lots of fluids, and wait for your body to build up the antibodies. If you’re generally healthy you’re better in a week or two. Some people end up sick for months though but very few suffer any permanent liver damage. Once your body has built up the antibodies you can never get it again.

And picturing Madonna suffering through a week or more of vomiting and diarrhea made me smile a little bit this early Friday morning. 🙂
