lol, man travis you are a funny guy. It’s funny how half you dumb-asses only think of a car being fast that you can mash the pedal on in a straight line. Sick suspension set up on your STi, that thing probably has more roll than Star Jones does. You guys just don’t get the motivation behind buying a car like the RX-8 or S2000. Have fun racing 18 year olds on the highway for the rest of your life, I choose to actually make use of my car for what it is.

Really though, is your clutch still slipping or have you gotten it fixed yet? My friend in an evo would love to show you what they can do whenever your ready to take on someone with similiar mods.

It’s almost as funny as you dumb-asses think a stock car like an s2000 or RX8 is fast in any contest period.

the sti handles remarkably well stock… add 24mm solid sway bars, adjustable sway bar end links, a quality alignment and wider tires (all of which i have) and it handles even better. and for the cars my car cant out corner… i have enough power to motor by most of them on the straights…

as a side note when the hell did the “teg army” get replaced with rx-8 ricers? fanboi’s FTL

lol yeah, they suck at autocross. And road racing. Do you ever check results threads? Maybe, the Rolex cup perhaps? Do you even know what those are? Probably not, but I can’t say I would be all surprised. There are no s2000 or RX-8s that dominate the 1/4 mile track, so I guess I understand why they are slow at everything in your eyes, because from what I’ve read of your perspective straight line racing IS everything.

How am I a ricer? Because I don’t agree with your logic? I have a full suspension set up, falken rt615 tires, and make valid points without talking out of my ass? I’m not sitting here saying it’s the fastest car or talking shit minus what I said about your suspension. Yeah Bob comes on here and talks a lot of shit, you do the same thing all the time to people. So please all mighty and knowing Travis fill me in here on your newest sense of logic. E-thug ftw.

have u ever met me? do you know a damn thing about me? nope… cant say ya do.

BTW what consists of a “full suspension setup”?

my logic has nothing to do with the fact that YOUR BOY saw fuckin taillights and he brings it up SEVENTEEN months later to try and dispute it when other members of this forum WERE THERE and can back me up on it. (grimmickb) in his evo, and (91serdet) in his sr20 sentra… you have no recourse here…

</div>

And now I get involved…

According to the 07 SCCA Solo rules:
Stock STi would be in A Stock.
Stock RX8 would be in B Stock.

AS is technically a faster class.

And Tripp, a straight line is the best way to measure a fast car.

Throw a turn in there, and you’re measuring a fast driver.

Tein springs with tokico dspecs, racing beat front and rear sway bars and endlinks and JIC magic front and rear strut bars all to go with an awesome alignment. Thinking of ditching the front strut bar for a 4 point AUTOEXE piece to stiffen it up even further.

Dude, as far as Bob beating you or not beating you… I don’t give a fuck about that. I wasn’t there, I’m not saying he did or didn’t. I’m not the one talking shit about it, just keep that in mind. I just don’t like how you call me a ricer when YOU don’t know or have never met ME either. Mutual respect should be king here, I’m not disrespecting you yet you are to me. Think about it.

Yeah cossey, I do understand your point as well since you actually get what I’m talking about. To an extent a straight line does measure the performance potential of a car, not disagreeing with you on that. Check out the TeamRX8 car in the STU class from last year, completely outmatched in power yet still hung in there will full fledged cars competing side by side…

It’s all relative I guess. Debating is all fun and well until you start throwing insults at people for no reason because they don’t agree with something you say.

no issues with you til u start running your mouth. that is all. i think rx-8’s handle nice but they are BALLS slow. there is a reson mazda was forced to reevaluate the power output of them when they first came out… 241hp my ass… they get rerated at 227hp or so and still put down 160-165hp @ the wheels… thats weaker than a 4 cylinder tiburon (not really just making an emphasis) props for doing something with it but dont make outlandish claims that it will beat my car or ANY sti. the rx-8 is a mid 14 second car trapping 92-94mph… the sti is a 13.0 car trapping 100-105mph… it just AINT happening.

They were acutally forced to reevalutate, like every car that advertises it’s hp, due to new SAE regulations.

and were they FORCED to give every single person who bought the first model yr rx-8’s free oil changes for life (pre re-evaluation) due to their faulty marketing? they did that to try and cover up their bigtime “oops”
