# Any BMW junkies out there? Paint code question

FUCK, damn keyboard missed the “M” lol
Me and my mechanic/body guy of 5 yrs got into a little fight from 1 of my cars being un-touched in his shop for a year… This being said I took my e39 to a new shop and the guy is cool and all, but doesnt really have any good resources. Im trying to paint my e39 Laguna Seca blue but the paint code that comes up for laguna seca blue (448) is WAYYYY different then the baby blue looking color that I want… Does anyone know the REAL paint code for the color im seeking? Help would be apprechiated.

Fizzle or the OG LSB E46 M3 owner JClark will have to answer this one, or just do a quick search on bimmerforums and you might get lucky.

look under the spare tire carpet. ususally they sticket the codes on something back there. sometimes on the GVW sticker on teh driver side jamb, rarely under the hood anywhere.
def should be on the car though. I would try schenectady auto body, tell them the VIN and they can look it up.

448 is the correct code for the 2001 LSB M3, 490 is also LSB as used in E92 custom orders.

448 Laguna Seca Laguna Seca Blue Standard Blue 51 91 0 026 069, thats also what I found on a BMW paint chart site.

LSB would look horrible on an E39 though. The body lines of the car really wouldn’t look good shod with LSB.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion 🙂 I happen to LOVE the car in lsb and have only seen or heard about 1 EVER… Im sure theres more then 1 lsb e39, but only actually SEEN 1 and its the 1 below.

Mike first name Wrecko has been doing my mechanical/paint work for the last 5 years and is the absolute cheapest guy I have EVER delt with. We became pretty good friends, but my cars started to take longer and longer to get finished and on my old del sol that I spent near $10k in parts it sat in his shop for almost a straight year with not 1 thing completed. I was pissed and went to someone else… He’s done I think that kid elliots girlfriends turbo’d 420a eclipse laguna seca. Funny thing is Mike prolly woulda done a better job AND woulda been cheaper but I just didnt care lol.

Idk what the king of cali means lol, but Mike at exit 17 in ft edward correct? He has an AWD gst spyder black on black that I’ve been trying to buy off him forever? Yeah Mike is legit man, just pissed me off was all. He used to swap motors for like $150 lol, doesnt get much cheaper then that haha
