i have a sony laptop and i lost my restore disk…:weak: :crying: :crying: …it is pretty bad
this isnt my only computer but i was hopping i could put LS1 edit or something on it for editing software if i ever get it working
any sugestions besides taking it to the shop

How old is the computer and did you buy it from like Gateway or some type of company? (just using gateway as an example). If so where ever you got or bought it they should have put like a product Key code soem where on the computer. They should be able to look up what exact equipment is in it and make you a new boot disk.
I;m going through the same exact thing with my buddies computer right now…

it is five years old…and since the operating system is on it i have to buy it …it cost 600 bucks
the computer is a sony vaio pcg fx 540
i do not need a boot disk but a resstore disk to wip the hard drive and restore the operating system and drivers:crying: :crying:

get teh boot program of sony’s site… boot into bios set boot drive to cd then hard disk…insert cd boot into windows install.

you can keep it for 6 months i dont care…i have a laptop i am using now…i was just going to use the sony as a back up and some programs for my car…but i am willing to pay
