The WRX is a much better performing car than the EVOs base model. Thats why you will always see dozens of WRXs (not STIs) and nearly no Lancer OZ rally edition, ect… Who wants to mod a front wheel drive 170hp version of one of the most capable cars out there. Its literally half the car if not less. Subaru at least offers a model with something to desire in performance at a decent price. They have a strangle hold on the introductory street performance car that may only be challenged by the Civic Si. The Neon SRT-4 gave them a run for their money but that little fair up has been extinguished. ---
