# Any one have experience with PMS standalones?

I am buying a 94 cobra with a PMS standalone if it is still for sale in 2 weeks, it is in Virginia beach so if the GF can get off from work we are making a vacation out of it.

Does any one have experience with these and what are your thoughts?

The standalone has a hand held tuner that you use, no software for a laptop.

It is tuned now but when I get it I would like to have it re-tuned for our climate and for partial throttle and highway use. It gets terrible gas mileage but is completely safe, just too rich under partial throttle.

Also, I want to install a wide band in it, the A/F gauge in there now is garbage, should I do one for each bank or will one wide band be fine?

One wide band after the x-pipe is fine, unless you want to try to tune each bank right?

The one I had worked well, and it was easy to use. Just read the book once over and you will be fine.

You might need more spray.

Just wanted to make sure they aren’t crap, and get some advice on the wideband, thanks. I’d love to go turbo with the car and maybe AEM EMS but the current setup with a tiny little supercharger and no intercooler is making a lot of power, pretty much the max of the already upgraded block.
