# Anybody ever flash a lite on drive for xbox?

i have a friend that wanted to get his xbox flashed…took it apart thinking it was the benq since it was just the U shaped drive, but it shows that its the lite on dg-16d2s but has the older firmware on it. was reading that a lot of people did it fine with JF, but didnt want to try it.
anybody have any luck with these? friend wants to get it flashed soon and is willing to pay someone to do it.

when you say it has the older firmware on it, are you saying it’s already flashed with an older version of ixtreme? or is it stock right now?

no…hasnt been flashed yet. its on the stock FW right now, but on the lite on drives there were two versions of FW. His drive has the older stock firmware: 74850C

I have a liteon drive xbox sitting on a shelf downstairs that one of these days I’m going to get around to flashing. It’s the one MS sent me when my old hacked xbox went RRoD. But as long as my MS28 xbox that I picked up used when the liteon was still unhackable keeps working I haven’t been real motivated to read up on what’s required to do a liteon.

Other than that tell your buddy if he doesn’t feel like putting the effort in to learn how do this maybe he should just buy his games. With all the tutorials and step by step wizards out there is isn’t a real involved process if you’re willing to spend a couple hours reading.

yes…there may be all tutorials out there, but obv he doesnt have the tools and hardware needed to flash. hence looking for someone that may want to flash it and make some money doing so.

anybody wanna make money or know somebody that wants to make some money to do this? friend hopefully wants to have this done.
