i seriously agree 100% and i’m in the same boat as you. there are just a ton of assholes and beef that goes down there. i dunno what the deal is, but i really don’t want to commit to going somewhere where its just going to get out of hand.

the lot is nothing like on here, no one fights and argues…it’s usually groups of people that go and hang out together and park by each other and shit.
the lot got out of hand ONCE with the ricans at khol’s

Everyones got their own opinions on cars but the lot is usually pretty chill if you just hang out and keep insulting comments to yourself. There are a fair share of ignorant and stupid people there but you have to learn to ignore them. I had to hold some things in a couple of times but then you just go chill with your friends and say " could you believe that asshole at the lot last night? Was he serious?"

I agree, down at the lot there really isnt any smack talking, people just chill and talk about cars, and IF IT DOES get out of hand(ive never seen it) i would just leave, im sure the people you hangout with will go too.

You must still be in High School…I don’t hang out at the lot too often but shit usually gets outta hand about once a year and that pretty much kills the scene for the rest of the summer…which really sucks

man you should go there arent many vdubs out there last year that i remember, now theres pete and bigred was there and boostedb7 off of ca-va, you should come out to, we can feel super cool like all the honda guys haha :lol

I did go a bunch of times, but hung mainly out with worked domestics. I am trying to get my car up to par to keep up with my buddies this summer. I know its an apples and oranges comparison but my theory is go big or go home.

well that depends on what the domestics have and what kind of race you plan on doing, guarenteed you handle 20x better than them anyways and thats where the real fun in driving is, what do they drive anyways

well as a vdub owner and a domestic owner, i like both my cars, its two completely different feels which is kinda fun.
OP i sure hope this year doesnt get fucked up like last year. i went down to Kohl’s like one time in April then the drama happened and the scene was all over instaid of just at khols. this year if anyone has a problem with someone else please take it elseware and dont ruin it for the rest of us.
edit: Gefforey didnt like it when we put his wipers up but whatever he ill get over it, it was just a joke.

I’m not a domestics guy but i always hung with the worked domestic guys theres a lot of knowledge and hard work in to those cars not to mention the great hook up you can get from the guys that have been doing it longer than i have been alive. like painting , metal fab,machining, body work, custom stuff and ideas etc
I have been going to the lot for years and it does get old if you get caught up in the drama but if you love all types of cars and can look past the stupid ego’s of some of the owners it’s a great place . The cars are what i go there for .
last year there were so many Armsterican’s that i would just drive through there; nothing worth looking at but I’m optimistic for this year.

one other thing that sucks every time anyone pulls in you can see that a crowd of people are looking at the cars talking shit even if your not doing anything stupid . I’m not being paranoid i hear the talking every time someone pulls up. people are bashing the car then when the guy gets out people are like hey whats up :idiots why waste your breath it only makes you look stupid and 2 faced . i try to analyze the thoughts of these people my only conclusion is one guy who wants to stand out runs his mouth and all the other followers who want to stand out feel they need to fit in and find more things to pick apart and its a downward spiral until the door opens lol. wtf . i know its called immaturity . news flash if you know someone that has a rep because of their bad ass car you never hear them bashing other people. they already know what goes in to making a fast car. they just sit back and chill. there are no rep points like video games you don’t get + points for being a dick .
