# Anybody Have a Porter Cable i can borrow?

i need to refresh my paint… lots of swirls from the winter that i need to polish out, and my cheap pepboys buffer simply wont work… i will need it for a day or so, and will provide compensation…
thinking about using this kit

porter cable? use a real buffer lol, harbor freight has cheapys that work decent

yes i do i detailed at a dealership for a while now, the porter cables have a orbital motion to them as well as circular where as a traditional buffer is just circular

a porter cable is actually what he should be using unless he has experience using a rotary. Even after using a rotary a random orbital will remove any and all fine holograms that can be left by the rotary.
Bryan, I have one left in my basement. Not sure if it works, but if it does it is yours.

Brian, I picked up a UDM for Christmas, however it’s back home at my parents.
I need to snag it and do the same to my car, if I get it anytime soon I will let you know.

exactly why i wouldn’t trust my car to you. I told the dealer that i got my new car from that they weren’t allowed to detail it or i wouldn’t take delivery.

oo i no, im not saying there not good, i was just messing around sayin use a real buffer, but ya porters are good as well

So you applied Cherry Wet Wax with a rotary and wool pad?

why not just get a buffer from harbor freight… should be less then 50 bux, and ull have it forever… ive gone through about 10 pads in my harbor freight one and its still going strong

$70? tell me where to get one… autogeek now has it for 130 just the polisher itself… there might be other place that is cheaper… but i doubt 70
