Pretty neat that you did this. I am also curious as to why you did it only slightly wider than width of the car. ---

Hope you like parking it in the middle of your garage all the time…I know I always have move things around, you’re kinda stuck with it right there. ---

I realize the OP is limited with what can be done and I’m sure there was a reason for this, I just know that it would bug me to be stuck with it right in the middle. ---

I made it that size because eventually I will bump the front of the garage out 5 foot or so, I couldnt go with a larger size header because the 2x6 header just fit the car under there.
