he didn’t lose his touch, he was regulated and they arent, of course thier show is now more entertaining, they don’t have restrictions, sterns on sirius will be awsome ---

Im sure it will be awesome but the last year has been crappy not just because the FCC its because that all he talked about. I really only lol’d once this past year for shu shu retarded flu. Funniest stern bit ever but i still stand by the fact that O&A were way better. If you went to the beach party they did you would know what im talking about. ---

Stern is going to learn the hard way that being able to swear and say whatever you want makes it tougher to make things funny. You lose the shock value that you had on radio saying that a girl took one in the dumper. Now you can say she was fucked in the ass and thats just not as funny. Rob you were at the beach party??? I heard about that. Wish I could have been there. It sounded INSANE! ---

Im a big stern fan, I liked O&A when they were on 92.9 but not better than stern. Sirius will bury XM with stern. ---

When they were both on 92.9 I found myself turning Stern off in the mornings but making time to listen to O&A in the afternoons. I think they have the same sense of humor that my friends and I have so I relate better to it. ---

If you dont like him, don’t listen to him. Easy as that. You guys are absolutely right, he is no longer able to do his show the way he used to… which is why he is making this move. If he no longer had passion, he would have retired and had fun with his millions instead of getting up at 4am every morning to go to work. edit: I like O&A as well, but they never would have gotten where they are without howard. Did you know Opie went to Geneseo? ---

i love O and A…and i love stern. i have to say i didnt appreciate stern as much until i did some research on him. after reading his books i have a completely different respect for his intelligence. he is a really smart guy in a marketing sense as well as philisophical, social, etc. he really does get a bad wrap for being a “shock jock” but then again he is the one with 500 million dollars for what he does…and we are sitting here talking about it. i mean there has to be something said for his following. so yeah i love O and A, they made me laugh a ton when they were on wbuf, and when i hear the shit they do on Xm it sounds funny, but howard stern still paved the way for them to do what they do, that cant be denied ---

There is a guy who actually died close to the time that Stern was in his prime who did many of the bits that Stern does years before him. I can’t think of his name now…damnit. And there was Imus who gets a bad rap from Stern but when I actually sit and listen to Imus, hes pretty funny. He is a total douche and doesn’t give a shit about anything. Hes got a dry sense of humor that I kind of enjoy. So anyway, Sterns ability for gaining public attention is what garnered him the title of being the first Shock Jock but he surely was not. I will not take anything away from what he did for radio, because he did a lot and he did pave the way for other big name jocks, but to call him the creator or edgy radio is not accurate. ---

I was just floored when I walked onto the beach lol it’s funny how things work too… I was underage at the time and couldnt get into rats. While getting drunk from the sidelines I ended up giving some random dude on the beach a bud for his wristband. :tup: lol it was awesome… I wish they’d come to buffalo again ☹ ---
