# anyone familier with dodge steath's??

Im about to buy a 92 Dodge Stealth ES for a winter car/daily driver. I went and looked at it today but the owner wasnt home so I could only get so far. Its a standard as well.
are they pretty reliable with the N/A V6? its in pretty good condition im just tired of driving my SS everyday when it shouldnt be a DD

sully and auggie are, its just a 3000GT… and the ES is a FWD non turbo pile of junk
why dont you just buy a civic or something for a daily

its a DD.
My go fast car is at home in the garage…dont give a shit if its N/a fwd.
also, this car is dirt cheap…cheaper then I could pick up a civic for in this type of condition.

because I drive 1 mile back and forth to work everday and I will need to do the same in the winter when I go plowing with my dad
My SS I hafto let it warm up every morning and shit before I can drive it to only go a mile down the road…its annoying.
also, not looking for payments. I have a small budget that I want to pay cash and be done with it. I have enough bills so newer is out of the question.

i never said anything about speed, but its a land yacht, its a DODGE and its still a 3000gt/stealth.
id rather spend 3500 a GOOD civic that will last me years upon years, than spend whatever you are on a clunker dodge.

You let your car warm up before driving it? I just start her up and hammer down! LSXs may suffer from very slight piston slap and lifter tick but its nothing to have special warm up periods for. Not until you have forged FI pistons. Just dont rev it past 2500rpm before its warm as not to fatigue your valve springs.
Dont get into a stealth. They can be headaches. A friend had one and it leaked oil from everywhere and then found it had a cracked head… This also started out as a “great deal”
My Cutlass Ciera is the tits. 30+MPG mixed city and highway. The worst I got so far was 29MPG. Ask MK4 30R. LOL

I have .660 lift valve springs, and chromoly 7.425 push rods. Its 100% reccomended with my setup to let the car warm up due to the heavy duty valve train or else you could crack a valve spring.
I have read thread after thread on ls1tech with owners wondering why they dropped a valve or two after cold starts and driving and them not knowing you need to let the car warm up before driving it with the heavy duty valve train. Im talking about with my cam (.601/.609 112lsa). With a smaller cam im sure its nothing to worry about

I completely throw caution to the wind… GTP with .574" lift, stock ZO6 springs, and chrome moly LS1 push rods. Cold starts all winter! LMAO.
