# anyone in the carpenters union

what do you have to do to get into the union? ive been a residential drywall man for a few years.

contact a local union business agent first. I am not sure which would be in your area. Then you test out to see where you fall. 99% of all nonunion that join the union arent accepted automatically as journeymen. Depending on skill you could come in at a 3-4 year apprentice down to a 1 and 2 year.
