# Anyone know a good place to get a car loan from? Friend of mine wants to buy a 97 240sx and its in another state so he will have to work out his own financing but has bad credit and only $500 down to put toward a 5,000 dollar car. Also, whats involved in getting it registered in PA? ---

you won’t get a loan on that old of a used car - especially with bad credit. ---

banks know better than to loan money for a vehicle that will never hold any type of value. ---

To answer your question… He should look into putting the car on a credit card. Not the best idea, but that is probably the only way he can get it done. Places like MBNA and Capital One do this for people with bad credit. ---
