The new Beastie Boys album: To The 5 Boroughs?
What do you think of it? I’m loving it so far. It’s so eighties style rap and
although having never listened to some of their old school stuff, I’m really
liking this new album.

I was asking if he had a premium service like [newsfeeds.com](http://newsfeeds.com) or something and could provide a review.
I know my cogeco news servers block almost all of alt.bin

My favourite tracks so far are #2 - Right Right Now Now and
#4 - It Takes Time To Build.
BTW, a.b.sounds.mp3.full\_albums has the album right now. Get it
before it gets removed. :wavey:

Dunno about G, but i use Rogers, and i thought Cogeco was the same thing. And i get most a.b.servers. Forte Agent 2.0 is the shiznit.
My friend uses Astraweb for his newsgroup provider and it’s pretty good. 10 day retention, speed seems to be higher, more groups than Rogers.

i buy cd’sof artists that i respect and want to support.
i have 2 copies of several crystal methh albums, and a grip of beastie boys cd’s.
but i dont take care of my cd’s so i end up with scratched copies all the time and have to replace.
either way…
review on the new beasties album…
not a BAD album, but not their best for sure.
the album lacks the trakc variety of albums like ill communcation, check your head, and hello nasty.
those albums had jazzy instrumentals, mike D gets on the drums, MCA on the bass adrock on guitar and they all share vocals. every track was slightly different from the last and there were so many genre’s covered on every album.
this one is not like that.
they need to add a few sabrosa-like tracks in there. some “gratitude-esk” 808 rock.
the whole album wreaks of animosity over 9-11 and pres. bush. and the whole album (16 tracks) is only 45 minutes.
if there was a 6 month lay-off in between albums then this would be great.
i was expecting so much more after 7 years.
lately, since i had my stereo installed, i have been bumping both volumes of their anthology and all their albums for the lesser known tracks that you grow to love. i just cant see me doing that with this album.
songs worth a listen.

Wow it doesn’t feel like that long but I was never a hardcore Beastie Boy. I like the new single though, has a nice sound to it. And who can complain about seeing Spock play basketball lol.

this album just keeps getting better and better.
they just broke out with ‘Ch-Check it out’ to a steady cam down the streets of NY on Letterman.
these guys are still the best.
