So I had the last 2 days off because I opted to work weekends at my new job. So I come in today expecting it to be another day where I make off the wall comments and make fun of customers that I have to deal with. Since I work in a call center its pretty shity, but I dont have to deal with being on phones. I work tech support for Iomega, its a ok job, nothing to off the wall. Ive learned more then my share of info in the last 3 weeks of being out of training. So I sit down and find out inthe past few days shit has changed… seems the volume they projected for the new web-based chat and Email is way under volume, but the phone support is just crushed. I work the chat part so its no big deal, till I find out they were taking people out of the email/chat part to make them full time phone agents. No big deal, if figure I should be pretty good because I have learned a fuckload in the last 3 weeks… ppl are getting told there moving to phone till the chat/email part pics up… I fugure, cool Im still doing good. Then around 2:30 I get told to go see our project head. It seems out of a grabbag of fucking people they chose Me with out looking at how other people act or attempt to fix a customers problem(not just pushed them away asap like everyone does) they fucking pick me to get moved to fucking [Priceline.com](http://Priceline.com) till further notice :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: I about wanted to rip someones fucking head off. It was bad enough it took me till may(when I graduated in December) to get this fucking job that was alteast semi related to my field. Now 6 weeks later Im getting fucked in the ass royaly. They told me its either go there and take a fucking pay cut or get layed off. If I get layed off I doubt I can collect any unemployment either because I put my 2 weeks in at my last job and have good standing with that job. And I wasnt at this job to long. My mom is going to check into it, If I can get it Im fucking taking the lay off and working under the table till I find a fucking job. It amazes me how there are people that dont give a fuck about what they are doing and have no intrest in technology, yet they are ALL staying on the project. I have a god damn degree, what good it days in this case I dont have a clue. And there are ppl that are quiting at the end of the summer. I about broke someones face when they told me that I had no choice. I pretty much said everything above as calmly as I could and pleaded for them to keep me on because I cant take the cut in wages. :bash: So pretty much Im fubar right now. I have 2 guys that are supervisors to me trying to get me back on because they know I am a quick leaner and have learned about 10x’s as much as the other guys just asking questions and looking around our knowledge base for info. I knew going into this this job was gonna be iffy. But I fugured I could suffer thru it. I accualy liked my job, other then the weekends part. Now I get double fucked, I get taken out of my field and I get put on a job they consider “Easier”… Its a double kick in the nuts. Thanks sonny, I managed to fight my way back in… they litterly took names out of a random drawing on who was going, not anything on performace or knowlege. Either way I am back in, althogh I am on phone support now… but I do get a better schedule and I dont have to work weekends anymore. So I made out pretty good. One kid they hadnt talked to yet said he would goto priceline before going on phones. He was the reason I got back on… thank god.
