# Anyone with a CD009 or JK40C near Toronto I could examine?

This might be beating a dead horse but I plan to do a shifter kit unlike anything I’ve seen yet. I can also entertain **buying a blown trans** if someone has one cheap, that would allow me to experiment on my own.

I don’t have access to the last one now that I intend to go ahead (mehh) so the first step is just to measure all the appropriate points, the shift rod area, cover and such things accurately. I do have approximate shift movements written down, but I need to CAD up the actual housing.

Needless to say it shouldn’t be in a car, and the shifter ideally should be removed or can be removed for measuring.
