I once spent 3 days in the hospital because I had symptoms of a bad appendix. They decided to wait a couple days while I was already in surgery, because they were not sure what it was. Turned out I had a hernia instead.
Appendix’s are not handled lightly, I would consider myself lucky to be born without one.
