# Apple Power Book or Imac??

I am looking into a new computer for myself. I decided on Apple but clueless on what to get…A PowerBook or IMac??? I want to hear some people opinions on both

it’s really a desktop/notebook argument, do you want to carry it around or not?

I agree with the mac pro \> Powerbook…
In a little while I’mm sure someone’ll release a tripple boot system for the new intel X86 based macs then you can run Unix / Windblows / Apple… I dont know why you’d want windblows… but if you do… that’s the chance.

just released, 4-5x faster than powerbook

I am not sure when the Intel based Mac is going to be out, but you may want to wait so you can put windows or OSX on it and have that flexibility…

it’ll have to be a hack of some sort to get windows on it… but the intel based macs have been released.

It’s out now. intel based = macbook, no one knows if this will dual boot yet, you’ll be able to do it, but it might not be supported by apple, rumors are that the later ones will though, something about the firmware/bios that they didn’t get done for the macbook
