# are X point racing harness' legal for daily driving in ontario???

just wanna know if i can install a 4 point and throw out that stock garbage, yet not get bent over by the cops

i don’t know how legal they are. But, I do know the cops will try and bend you over legal or not.

pretty sure its not legal, plus its not safe on a daily.
In the event of a roll over, god forbid, you would be strapped to your seat, completely unable to move. Normal seat belt wouldn’t do that.
Your best bet would be to keep the stock belts even with the racing harness.

Some of the answers in that thread say you can but you have them in the car but you have to use the OEM seatbelt.
e.g
> Legal to have in the car, not legal to use on the road. Get a fresh factory seatbelt setup and install an aftermarket DOT approved harness as well for use on the track if you need to.
But to get a sure answer go to the MTO and ask them directly.

Not legal. I had both in my car when i had harnesses.
