# arrrgh. Treo 650 help please

i’ve been putting off doing this for a couple days. keep in mind that i just got this phone, and also keep in mind that i’m a window licking retard.
first, and foremost. i can’t get this god damn thing to sync with my computer. doesn’t matter what i do. i tried it on mac and PC. i followed the instructions and it wouldn’t sync.
second. how the fuck do i change the ringtone. i have a 1 GB SD card with a 30 second MP3 on it. it sees the song in realplayer, but i’ll be damned if i can figure out how to make it my ringtone. i swear i’ve gone through every setting on that phone.

well i got it to start syncing. i just plugged it in again and it started working.

download treo technician for the ring tone.
as far as the sync goes, did you open palm desktop and everything is plugged in ok? you should just be able to press the buton and it will sync.

i got the sync to just work randomly. did the same thing i had been doing everytime, and all of a sudden it worked. did it a couple more times, and it still worked. :tup:
i was doing some reading at work and i read that you may need some other programs to get MP3’s to work. thanks for the program name jam. \<3

The treo is very meh, i found that it froze up on me, a lot.
Leave it alone and don’t install too much shit otherwise expect to never pick up calls because it will freeze when it tries to play an mp3 as a ringtone.

:tup: thanks for the advice. i’ve been thrilled with it so far. it did freeze up on me once. i thought the palm OS was supposed to be more reliable and freeze up less than the windows mobile…

mine never freezes and i have an mp3 for a ring tone :gotme:
i \<3 my treo. howie, did you have a 600? cause mine used to do that shit all the time, but never my 650…

Dan, try using .wav files for tones instead of mp3’s if it does ever freeze on you. Your best bet would to get rid of that 650 and get a 700wx. I just got one from work and this thing rocks socks or you can kill Joe’s and take his but his is ghey Sprint so I would be careful… 😉
