# Asbestos testing in Buffalo area?

Maybe I’m just paranoid, but better safe than sorry. Cleaning a relative’s basement we found boxes and boxes of brand new 12X12 acoustic ceiling tiles. They never finished their ceiling back in the 60’s, so the same tiles are falling apart on the half that’s finished. They almost look to be the same material as the ones I have in my house. I have several already in a box, so I can bag them up and take them somewhere for testing. I just need to know if anyone has done this in the Hamburg/Buffalo area, where, and how much it costs if you can bring a sample in.

Light one on fire. If you can then you know it’s not asbestos. 🙂
