Im interested in picking up an Iphone, I hate being under contract. Anyone know that if I puchase an Iphone myself can I get it activated under their service without being under contract? I know some company allow this ---

The cost of an iphone without a contract will be a lot higher than the cost to cancel the contract. Your argument is invalid. ---

He might mean buying one used. You can also buy a refurbished 3G for much cheaper. I don’t know whether or not they will let you do it without a contract, though. ---

The cancellation fee is only $175. You can get a new 3GS for $200 from AT&T. Gonna find a decent iphone for less than $375? ---

I see your point, but deals come up sometimes for a used phone. Never know. :gotme: I personally wouldn’t want to spend the dough if I wasn’t getting the 3GS brand new. So I would never do that, just saying. ---

I have a jailbroke, Iphone 3g 8g,id sell for 250. I can also unlock it if you want to use it with t-moble. ---

Your argument is invalid. plus you have to factor in that this is the worst case assuming he does cancel it. If he keeps the service then he got the phone for $200 and it has a warranty. ---
