Religion was pertinent and necessary about 2,000 years ago, in much the same way we still tell children “you better behave because Santa is watching you”. The thing is that kids grow out of believing in Santa. While there are still grown men killing themselves over god. How hilarous would it be if there were grown men killing themselves over Santa or the tooth fairy. Only difference is Santa is a lot nicer than god. He only uses positive reenforcement. Santa: Be good and you will get toys. God: Be good and you will go to heaven. If you dont, you’ll burn in the fiery depths of hell for all eternity. Santa \> God ---
