I would be more excited about the Duquesne womens badminton team winning a regional championship than I would be about the Pirates winning the world series. ---

as of now the pirates are down but what about the steelers from 1933 till 1972!!! one play off apperance in 1947… sure they have won consistantly since 72 but that doesnt make up for all the years of not winning. the pirates have been a lil more consistant over the life of the franchise… winning in a few different decades. the current state of baseball is a model for teams like the pirates to fail. ---
