# Auto Marketing Group (SCAM) ;(

So, back in Oct/10 I decided to sell my Custom 2000 Impreza 2.5RS by placing ad’s on net, forums, Kijiji etc…
2 months go by with no luck, so I get a call from Auto Marketing Group and they tell me, give us 500US$ and we’ll try to sell your car within 90 days by placing your ad on many many websites, if we don’t sell it for you, you get 400US$ back. I said cool, lets do it…
2wks go by, I ask, via email twice, if they have placed any ad’s up cuz I can’t find them and where my ad’s are placed on the net… No reply…
Another week goes by, I call to see if there has been any interest in my car and which sites my car is listed on, he gives me 2 or 3 website names to check, I go check, nothing… I’m thinking total scam at this point!
I then decided to bite the bullet and just wait the 90days and just get my 400 back and that’d be it. Boy was I WRONG…
At the end of the 90day mark I sent in the refund package they require me to do before I get my money back. Called 2 wks after I sent it away, turns out I didn’t fill in one space in the paper work, I thought it was for them to fill out, turns out I needed to get a “Notary public” sign off for me. AMG (lady) told me “no problem, just get that Notary public portion faxed ASAP”, so I did.
2wks later I call to ask about my refund status? I get "Sorry sir but you didn’t fill in a portion of the paper work so you don’t qualify for a refund. I then FURIOUSlY said “I was told to fax the missing portion and I did!!!” AMG then said "Our fax machine is down so we didn’t get it…
A month ago and 20 cell phone calls later, I called them again, I get some Kevin Sullavin jack a$$ tell me too "re-send the whole package once again and he’ll see what he can do , (FYI - package cost 35$ to send certified/ priority mail each time)
I re-sent it properly this time… Today I can’t even get through by phone, email and never go a dime back…
35$(Mail)
+
35$(Mailed 2nd time)
+
30$(Public Notary- Lawyer)
+
5$(Staples- copies/print-outs)
= 105$ along with many wasted cell phone hours talking to the most unprofessional and unorganized company on earth.
total loss - 105CAN + 500US= roughly 625CAN wasted ;(
Never again AMG Arseholes…

Really sucks man that you learned the hard way. But if you did a simple search about the business (which most would before giving them $500) you would find 15+ sites, hondatech,m5 board, gen dub, etc. that say SCAM, WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS.

why would anyone pay 500 to someone to place ads lol. kijiji does fine for me and I’m sure for most people too.

i guess its good u posted this but just in general i dont think there are many ppl who would give 500 to anyone just like that.

Live and learn. I can’t believe people do that for a living tho. I would feel like karma would bite me in the ass in a huge way everyday of my life. Looking over my shoulder…
Should of told them you traced the call and have hired a hitman. And they have 24 hours to return the money. Lol
