# Auto to manual swap driveshaft..

What is the difference between the auto drive shaft and manual driveshaft for doing the auto to manual swap…do i have to get a whole new driveshaft for this if i only have the auto one ? what do i have to do im not sure…

Is it just the end connections i need or are the actaul driveshafts different sizes?

The driveshaft itself is a different length, as the tranny is a different length. The u-joints are the same… But that’s kinda moot anyway.

so i will end up having to find a manual trasmission driveshaft if i want it to be done …okay that clears that up i guess thank you!

my 5 speed driveshaft doesn’t have a U joint by the tranny, not sure what year its from. but my friend’s '92 5 speed does. my auto driveshaft had the U joint though.

but yeah, they auto driveshaft won’t work, you have to get the 5 speed. its cheap anyway.
