i just got this great deal on this 240. pics up soon BUT. auto. need manual b4 i start getting ANYthing for my car. i seriously will not mod anything if its not 5spd. i live in winnipeg and my junk yard is not full of s14’s. where can i get all the stuff from other than [car-part.com](http://car-part.com)? ---

of what trashed manual s14s? these arent parts that are readily available like the s13 ones… a lot of the parts from the 13 arent interchangeable with the s14 ---

my only problem is finding all the parts for this swap. and yes i know [car-part.com](http://car-part.com) but in my area it sucks ass for having 240’s. shipping would runnn me up. only if i could fly one of the people who done it here :lol: ---

Ya I was about to say you dont need to get a 95+ tranny and stuff to do the swap, as long as you can find a 91+ model tranny you can do it for less. ---

no shizzle. swapping the tranny isnt just swapping the “tranny”. you probably know that there are a lot of other parts involved (clutch pedals, clutch lines, drive shaft, etc) and those are the parts which are hard to find aka non-interchangeable. and thats what we’ve (me at least) been referring to through out the entire post. ---

OKAY. so i’ve lost all my sites of instructions making my auto to a 5spd. what other manuals are there other than [240sx.org](http://240sx.org)? i had a really good one with wiring but lost the site due to my computer screwing up? some one help! i need a really good site w/ the wiring. ---

any of you guys know how to do a auto\>5spd conversion on a FWD?(obviously, I dont have to point out its not a 240sx). Will provide beer/pizza/and other type of food you want. ---

Can someone explain why the 5spd driveshaft is diffrent between the S13 and S14? is it just length? ---

hey i have a few questions that you guys might be able to answer. if not thats alrite. (1998 240sx) im looking for the price($), location of the part(L) and swappability of some parts 1. break and clutch pedal assembily - ($) (L) assuming they are all the same for every year the 240sx was made… 2. clutch master cylinder- is this the same for every year 240? 3. slave cylinder - ($) where is this located on the car? i cant find it in the manual 4. clutch line - ($) (L)impossible to find im guessing… where can this be made? 5. tranny - ($)i need the pressure plate i think it is… the part that fits inbetween the engine in the tranny? OBDII sensor… same for each year. 6. drive shaft - ($) (L)do i need both parts of the drive shaft front and back section? any help would be much appreciated. ---

ECU aswell - ($) im guessing 200 somthing. (L) and do i need to swap the ECU from auto ecu to manual ecu or can i just stick with the Auto ECU? if not do i need the 98 or can i still use the 97 or 96 or 95? so many question so little answers. 😃 thanks ---

Those go aftermarket for like $200-300 (clutch) And for the flywheels, it’s usually the same price as the clutch, all depends how much power u expect ur engine to produce. The SR tranny is pretty much the same as the KA, minus a the fact that it only goes on SR engine, but everything else is that that you need to know for the auto\>5spd conversion ---

found some prices for used parts. you may want to refer to this as a “rough” guideline as to how much you should be looking to pay. 1. break and clutch pedal assembily - 60 for both or 30 each approx. 2. clutch master cylinder- ive seen some on ebay go for 10bucks shipping excluded. 3. slave cylinder - new on ebay $10 4. clutch line - possible to make your own at Canadian tire $?. or buy a used one but its a bitch to take out. around 35$ 5. tranny - $200-400 depending on how much you get ripped off. 6. driveshaft - oh this ones a b\*\*\*h to find. your looking at around 50-400 depending if you can even find one and depending on what car you have (s13 or s14) so you will spend around 450 - 1000 im told. ---

Here are my prices that I have paid and I did get some good deals here and some things I got raped lol Tranny - 350 but I got a engine with about 75-80K on it with it so thats a deal Driveshaft - 200 Clutch Master - 114 New from Nissan…30 from automotivewarehouse DOH! Clutch Slave - Free Shifter Finisher Plate - 60 with boot Lines - Not much just brake line Pedals - 20 for both So the moral here is dont even think about doing the swap unless you have about 1000 dollars free since unexpected costs will come up and its not a cheap as you think. ---
