# Auto tranny vs Manual length for swap.

This might sound funny to some, but I want to know if there is a difference in length of the auto tranny compared to the manual. I know they hae different drive shafts so I’m curious to know if they are dimensionally different.

I’m looking at swapping a KA into a Suzuki Samurai. Now I know this isn’t a 4X4 site, but I’ve always had my hands into Suzuki products and rather than swapping out for a 1.3 GT 102hp engine from a swift, I figured I would go for the gusto with the KA, if it will fit. Engine will fit no problem, but the manual tranny length is the problem. I would be force to make prop shaft only 2" long going into the T-case… not going to happen…

Any thoughts :?:
