# Avon or Dunlop?

Looking to get new tires for my bike. Rear is a 250/40/18 and I believe the front is a 120/70/21 but I need to double check them to be sure.
So far I’m looking at the Dunlop Elite 3 and the Avon AV72(rear) AV71(front).
I personally think I like the Avon’s a little better and Avon’s are loved by many and get really good reviews but the Dunlop’s reviews are good also.
I just wanted to see if anyone on here had any opinions.
Not set on these two so if you have some suggestions please let me know.

are you looking for performance? looks? long lasting tire? affordable?
i think the avon has two different speed ratings for the tires you listed.
also i think avon tires run small. most tire companies even tho they have the same ratios and widths the tire is different widths. they label it 240 for some companies and its 250. for others they label it 240 and its 230
so consider that too

Just put a new Pirelli diablo supercorsa sp on my bike. I LOVE these tires. The last tire lasted me 5000 miles even with a few burn outs which I’m sure shaved some more off. Tires are super sticky and corner great. Yesterday I took a 150 mile ride to Cooperstown and even in the rain/wet roads I was cornering hard and felt comfortable.

Unfortunately they don’t make the diablo in my sizes. The only one in my size is the Night Dragon.

Front size was wrong, it is 80/90-21.
The Avon’s are the Cobra’s. In that size they are the same speed rating.
