I normally would post this in the motorsports forum but then only 10 people would get to enjoy this so I’ll post it here.

Yes I know its a vw affiliated website but this is a solid 10 page thread about abandoned race tracks, highways and tunnels converted into wind tunnels most with pictures as well as facts and history. Some real cool things IMO.

Totally my fault due to copying and pasting someone elses shit. I noticed it right after hitting submit but there is nothing I can do about it now. Cry about it

little do they know the old PA turnpike was actually used “loosely” as a race track. tho traffic was never stopped. i forget where i read it but people would have a legit hill-climb along with recorded/documented times and set pretty impressive records.
that tunnel is 1 lane. imagine going through that at 100,110
