# Back After 5 Years in SoCal

And after viewing the forum and trying to figure out who’s who…well I don’t really know many people on here! AllStarGraphic’s has to be DJ…he used to be part of the local DSM crowd. I remember Cossey and his brother who had a 2g. Shawn - DJAuggie…but that’s about it.
Anyways my name is Doug. I used to own a couple of DSM’s back in the day. Hung out up at the Hoffmans on Central and sometimes down at Westgate. I actually bought another DSM last week after moving here to Burlington but unfortunately I have no place to put it. So I’m selling it (it’s in the Vehicles section). Sucks…
Anyways just thought I’d say hello. I’ll be down in Albany from time to time. Are there still meet’s at Hoffmans? Or up at Kohls (I think it was)?

Where in SoCal were you?
Scene is definitely not upto par to what you’re used to seeing over there, but you came to the right place for the local scene. You surely remember APG Forums, well we are the next “best” thing. :ponder

I bounced around Orange County (Corona, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel…etc) and finally settled in San Clemente 2 years ago. San Clemente is the only place worth it to me out there. I lived right behind the pier…surfed everyday…it was amazing!
The scene out there is…well. Not exactly what a lot of people think it is. It’s sort of a pain in the ass with emissions laws and cops. If I were in my teens I wouldn’t have cared as much. But you get older and just don’t feel like dealing with that shit. Not to mention the traffic. Not just the major highways…every where. I rarely had times where I could line up with anyone and really get a good run. Except on PCH.

Yea it definitely wasn’t a good time but shit happens. Glad to hear you’re back in the area. People don’t hang out as often as they used to but we can thank a bunch of scum bags for that whole dilemma.
