# bad wiring? or is this normal.

ok so when i baught my 89 240 the radio was out and all the wires were cut due to aftermarket stereo. well my hud and my wiper delays wouldnt work. the other day i got a radio harness and wired it all up. the radio is still disconnected i just put the radio harness on. now my hud and delays work fine. do i have some bad wires or is everyones 240 like this?

did you fix a ground?
it’s possible that a power or ground wire interloops through that circuit.
if all works fine now, don’t worry about it.
If unsure check fuses and clean your grounds.

i dont think the radio has a ground wire. im pretty sure it grounds when you screw it in the bracket.

Same things happening to me. Just get a whole 1989 dash harness and swap it in, that’s what im doing.
