I was working on this 2000 Civic Si at work a couple of days ago… So I go to drive it out of our shop and drive it down the side road just before the parking lot. I go smash VTEC in 1st and 2nd… The moment VTEC kicked in I was like: "that’s… it? I thought it was supposed to be some spectacular shit… I didn’t feel anything more than a slight increase in noise and an extra push into the seat… I was fairly disappointed… My first true-VTEC experience… Is that what Honda people love so much? More noise and turbo lag without the turbo? Sad… ---

I hate the fact that you can have a fucking Civic FLOORED and you get NO power unless you drop two gears and go up to 5000RPM to get on VTEC. I’d much prefer getting my power at. 3K over 5K anyday. ---
