# Baller

This is a word that gets thrown around a lot, but what does it really mean? Is it having a really flashy lifestyle? Is it having a really sick whip? It’s hard to tell, so I turned to Urban Dictionary. They provided me with this definition:
> A thug that has “made it” to the big time. Originally refered ball players that made it out of the streets to make millions as a pro ball player, but now is used to describe any thug that is living large.
That’s a pretty good definition, but personally, I think the following is a much, much better one:

Haha, these days baller means “I have a line of credit or a credit card and I bought white sunglasses and a Cobalt SS…and I listen to Soulja Boi.”

But ya, urban dictionary is the shit. I’m subscribed to their word of the day…always a laugh when I get in the office.
I started building my own, with words such as:
**waiter-baited:** the gross feeling you get in your stomach when you go to a fairly classy restaurant with hot waitresses…only to find out you’re stuck with the one and only male server.
john: “dude, i just got waiter-baited hard!”
ryan: “fuck man that sucks…happened to me the other day too!”
**carpet surfing:** when you crash at a friends house after a night of drinking and are forced to sleep on the bare (and often rough) carpet, with no blankets or pillows
joe: “hey eric, you still coming up to my place this weekend?”
eric: “ya, but it looks like im going to be carpet surfing…i don’t have room for anything else in my bag”
I had a much larger list going, but I lost it when my hard drive failed ☹
