The welds going across the body of the bar don’t even look structural to the bar itself. The bar looks too thick to have such small puny welds so close together like that. Could you clarify Dave, thanks! Just curious 😛
BTW this thing looks more like a strut tower shelf to me.

Thats not a strut bar… its a workbench for when your working under the hood… damn japanese got tired of resting thier tools on the fenders and them sliding off…

It’s two separate bars, with a filler piece welded in between them. The welds aren’t really structural. And they appear to have tons of penetration, that’s why they don’t look phenomenal.

Yeah I think the center section is more about keeping the two hollow bars together to counteract the shear. And they swiss cheesed it to keep it light.
I almost want to put some bling in those holes!
I’ve only seen one for R32?! Kansai didn’t appear to make this style for any other car. The had like 1000 different braces though for the R32…maybe TAS 09 I will bring more $$$.
