# Battery not being fully charged.

_ **LOOK DOWN HERE** _\*\*\*

So I got my car back last week and now I’m noticing that my battery is not getting as charged as it should.

I know that the battery should be at around 14v while running but its around 12.5v at idle and 12v when the fan and lights are on.

It doesn’t seem like the battery is not getting any charge just not being charged fully.

I checked the grounds they seem to be fine.

Any suggestions?

Well I replaced the alt right away. I took it to NAPA and had it tested, it said that it failed during DC testing.

It was warrantied(sp?) so I got a new one right away and put it in.

Basically the problem is still there.

Its a 1986 Z28 with a carbed 383.
