i just baught another 1991 but this time a SE hatch with 70k miles :wackit: the only rust on the car is the driver site frame rail has got a 4 inch section of rot that seemed to come out of no where on this otherwise clean chassis. the frame rail is rotted on the bottom and both sides. i have a welder and have done simalar work on my last '91 on the floorpan, _i need to know what guage steel the frame rails are?_ thanks, jim ---

yea hes talking frame rail… which is a bit thicker then the rockers… and the rockers arent any thinner then 20 ga… 22 would be pusshing it big time. and we decided on 16ga for the rockers bud 😉 ---

18 guage is aprox 1/16 inch, 11 guage is 1/8 inch, whitch one is it? ---
